Thank you to Vicki Alex and Sarah, we are grateful for your effort in walking 11 miles around Derwentwater and raising over £1000. Thanks to everyone who very kindly donated.
Vicki, Alex, and Sarah would also like to thank Fran, Margaret, and Cullen for always being their cheerleaders and supporting the event by running a stall. Also, thanks goes to Alan with Meg and Margaret with Phoebe for supporting the walk on such a beautiful day.
Everybody’s enthusiasm and dedication mean the world to the animals at Eden Animal Rescue.
Sarah said, “Everyone’s support was greatly appreciated, and we hope that what was raised helps give the dogs the best kennels they all deserve”.
What they did
SARAH HARRISON-WYATT, VICKIE BROUGHTON, AND ALEX BOWNESS STRODE OUT TO HELP EDEN ANIMAL RESCUE FUNDARISE FOR NEW KENNELS
Over the past few years, the three have undertaken a number of sponsored walks for Eden Animal Rescue; the last was in August 2023 when they undertook the 21 mile Ullswater Way to raise funds for the complex orthopaedic surgery needed by Tilly, one of our long term residents.
ON Saturday 25th May 2024 they walked 11 miles around Derwentwater on and they raised a significant amount in sponsorship to help with the building costs for the new kennel block.
The new kennels will significantly improve the accommodation and facilities for the dogs while they wait for their Forever Home.
