Luna, a much-loved Savannah cat, went missing in August 2025. Despite her owners searching tirelessly, sharing posts on social media and offering a reward, there were no sightings for months.

Last weekend, one of our staff members was alerted to a thin, wet and cold cat feeding from a bird table. The cat was safely trapped and brought to Eden Animal Rescue, where we discovered she was microchipped.

Although it was the weekend and the microchip company was unavailable, our team didn’t give up. After searching the Lost and Found Appleby Facebook page, we found a post from August — Luna was still missing.

Once her owner confirmed the microchip number, we were delighted to tell him that Luna was safe. The reunion was emotional and incredibly special — just in time for Christmas 🎄💖
