Just wanted to give you all an update on Midas (formerly known as Cooper) ❤️🐾

We’ve changed his name to Midas, as we thought, “new name, new start”. We loved the meaning behind Midas — everything he touched turned to gold — which we thought was perfect for him. He’s now responding to his new name consistently aswell.

We honestly can’t believe we’ve had him for a whole week already! He has settled in so well and has completely made himself at home. He’s such a lovely, affectionate boy and we’re getting to know more of his personality every day.

He and Bella have been getting on brilliantly. They have lots of fun together, and he’s learning that when Bella has had enough, it’s time to settle down. They’ve continued to have some really successful walks together, although we’re working on his slight tendency to watch passing cars.

He absolutely loves his cuddles and his one-on-one time with us, and he particularly loves being cuddled up next to his dad. He’s also discovered that the sofa is a very comfortable place to sleep.

He’s eating well, sleeping well, has been completely accident-free and has been absolutely fine when we’ve left the house for short periods, too. He’s settled into sleeping upstairs on his new bed really well and is sleeping all night now.

We really couldn’t have wished for a better first week with him. We’re absolutely delighted he’s part of our family. ❤️🐾
