Ben

Too good not to share comments from his foster parent.

Where do I start-Ben is still amazing! We all absolutely adore him-he is a happy lad whose tail is always wagging-he loves to potter about in the garden and up the lane where we live! He follows me all around the house and has a bed in every room!

Typical Labrador who adores food and can sneak your dinner off the worktop quick as a flash! And will cheekily pinch our others dogs tea if he can get away with it!

His mobility is great and he’s actually a very energetic lad these days who loves to play fetch with a tennis ball in the garden! He can get up and down the stairs fine if a little clumsily and loves a bit of very rough but good natured play with my son’s Labrador!

He is on a joint supplement and has occasional pain relief- he loves his selection of chunky orthopaedic beds dotted round the house-all in all he has totally settled into home life!

He’s turned into quite a vocal boy who barks ecstatically every time we go out the door! Turns out he’s  not a fan of small children but as we don’t see many of them it’s not a problem! His favourite job is taking the rubbish to the bin and helps by carrying the empty bottles!!!! This is closely followed by his other job of carrying parcels and is loved by the postie and the Amazon drivers!!

In kennels he had a naughty habit of mouthing but I am happy to say this has pretty much stopped.  He does have very poor control of his bowels due to his hip issues but we manage this be always going out after his meals and if he has an accident we have wooden floors anyway so it’s not a drama!!!

All in all we are delighted with him and I think he is very happy here with us! I am very happy we chose to rehome rather than get a puppy!
