We are absolutely devastated to share that, after being at the vets since Saturday night, Dodge sadly wasn’t getting any better. Despite trying everything we could to help him, and after long and careful discussions with the specialist, the kindest decision was made to let Dodge go to sleep peacefully.
Dodge was with people he loved and who loved him.
Dodge was such a special boy, and we are heartbroken.
Everyone at Eden Animal Rescue would like to say a huge thank you to every single person who donated towards his care and treatment.
Your support meant that we were able to do everything possible for him, and we are so incredibly grateful for that opportunity. We are just so sorry that this wasn’t the outcome we had all hoped and wished for.
It wouldn’t have been fair for Dodge to continue living with constant chronic diarrhoea and discomfort. We truly did our very best for him, and he knew love, care, and kindness every step of the way. Which before coming to Eden Animal Rescue he had not received.
Everyone who met Dodge will miss him so much. Take comfort in knowing he is now free from pain, running happy and chasing tennis balls again
