We thought you would be as pleased as we are to see this lovely update of Gem enjoying a very happy Christmas with her cat family members We are so pleased we were able to help Gem find such a fantastic home, and we hope we can continue to do the same for many more dogs and cats in need, with your help and support. Gem turned an incredible 18 years old in October 2025. She came to us from Hardendale in 2008 when she was just one year old, and she celebrated her recent birthday in style with a Greggs steak bake! Gem now lives happily with her cat companions, Travis Scott, who was rescued in 2021, and Kobe, who joined the family in 2024 — both from Eden Animal Rescue. Gem is deaf and has limited vision, as well as arthritis, but she still enjoys her daily walk. She loves watching The Dog House and Dogs Behaving Badly and will happily bark at the TV whenever she spots animals on screen. What a wonderful girl, living her best golden years
